InMotion Hosting US renewal prices: what it costs after the intro term
InMotion Hosting's Power plan advertises $4.79 a month in the United States and renews at $17.99 - 3.8x the advertised price.
That rate is not what is charged at signup: the 36-month term is billed as $172 up front. The host does not state which billing term its renewal price applies to, so the next invoice cannot be computed without guessing.
The advertised price covers 36 months. Over 5 years the service costs $10.07 a month, or $604 allocated to that period.
Commitment: the advertised rate requires paying 36 months up front. If you leave before then, the unused months are already paid for.

How to read these figures
- On three-year service cost, ChemiCloud works out cheaper for shared hosting in the United States ($1.95 a month against $4.79) - its figures.
- Commitment risk. The advertised price on Launch requires paying 36 months up front - $172 at signup. Compared over a shorter period, part of that is service you have paid for and will not use.
- Renewal billing term not confirmed on 3 of these plans. The host publishes a renewal rate but not the billing period it applies to, so those plans are excluded from every cash comparison on this site rather than given an assumed term.
- This is not a fixed price. The published renewal price on Pro went down from $25.99 to $24.99 when the host's page was read on 2026-09-06, and 6 other figures on this page moved as well. The dated comparison is here.
